I'd love to please send the answers to your email -- if I knew what the flipping answers are! I don't even know where to start! Argh!!! When is time up?

Well, time is up when I get some answers. This one is meant to be a bit harder, (less googleable) but what I will do is post a clue each day that I still don't have a right answer. So.. Stay tuned!

Ok, now I don't feel so badly that I can't find the answer if mom and aunt Quilly can't find it, either. I really did search a lot of different combination of phrases from your post and couldn't find a thing but now I'm curious to learn more.

Tom, please erase my previous comment, I think I must have been showing off...what I meant to say was,

"here's your answers, Tom. this was just in the back of my mind, haven't thought about it for a little while". LMAO

Hye, Jackie, here's what you said about challenge #3:

"...you have to make these a little harder. I didn't play this a.m. when I saw what Caryl did (for God's sake, woman, I TOLD you to read ALL the blogs!) but it was tooooooo easy."

And here's what you said about challenge #4:

"I'm not playing any more - it's too hard!!"

Well, wa wa wa. By the way you did very well-- you got second. And this one was hard. We are still waiting for a third place. So I will post a clue for those of you who are still pondering this one and want into the winners circle. Look to the post during the noon hour for a sign....

yes, i remember saying that - and boy, was i sorry! i printed out a 13 page report on this and then skimmed it for the answers, just don't have enough interest to pore over it.
and, tom, i want to know what in the heck you were researching that led you to this????????

P.S. why did it print it the first time on your blog, in htlm or whatever?

I was researching Descartes, though I don't think that clue is enough to help those still trying to figure it out as his connection with the group is only just being pondered by modern scholars.

Cartesian coordinates, his analytical geometry, all led to modern day graphic design capabilities. His philosophy and scientific method are pretty much the tools we use today in doing scientific research.

As much as we are a Greek culture, we are a Cartesian culture.

I didn't understand your comment about HTML, etc.

Curious that you didn't find that group interesting....

No, Tom, it's not curious I didn't find the group interesting - it's curious I even read as much as I did on it! That's just not my thing at all.

When I first opened your blog, your post was two or three lines and it was written in htlm code. I went out of your blog to research (thought it was maybe a quote) and when I went back to your blog your whole posting was there - in english! Wonder if Quilly saw it in code, too???

I tried to call 'cause I was so curious about your research - but no one answered at your house. I'll call later. Love you.

Jackie -- I saw no code, but blogger had some serious issues this morning. I didn't get to visit anybody's blog before I went to work -- what a lousy way to start the day.

Anything to do with Descartes is referred to as Cartesian because academia largely published in Latin in his day and the Latin version of his name was Cartesius.

We owe a lot to Descartes-- the math used so that you can watch TV or use your computer, mathematical proof that God exists, that we exist. His life reads like a swashbuckling, mystery novel complete with secret societies, torrid affairs, tragedy and far away journeys to strange lands.

But, just not interesting, unfortunately.
